WATERCOLOR ON YUPO

A demonstration and talk on watercolor on yupo with Barbara NIckerson, co-director of the BAI Gallery, teacher of watercolor on yupo and Sumi.

Yupo is 100% polypropylene, ph negative, synthetic paper. Watercolor sits on the surface. The use of water determines the effect...less water means more texture. The brilliant white is never lost. It's exciting! It's a challenge.

After 20 years of teaching Sumi (ink on rice paper), Barbara turned 180 degrees to watercolor on Yupo and the joy of painting returned.

The demonstration is open to the public. Members of BAI are free. Non-members are $15. The demonstration will be held in the BAI Gallery.
